About Rob & Jody

Rob and Jody were immediately plunged into the River of God and the river has increased in intensity since then without any sign of relenting. The call of God upon this couple is intense and life changing. They have a mandate to “Set the captives free!” Through their worship and ministry, there is an impartation that stimulates the desire to know Him in more intimate ways. They do not see themselves as “Worship Leaders” but prefer to be called, “Lead Worshipers.” Before they met Jesus, they spent their lives in bars trying to please the customers, and Jesus has shown them that in the Kingdom of God there is only ‘One’ in the audience and He is worthy to be praised.

Everyone in the church has the mandate to worship Him. “For God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality).” (John 4:24) AMP. For too long, the model of the church has been to have the worship team performing and the audience (congregation) being entertained, but in these last days that model has been changing into a oneness between the worship team and the congregation. Recently there has been a moving towards all of us looking to the “One” who is worthy of our worship, and His name is “Elohim, and Yahweh.” (Along with many others, which point to His intimate and wonderful attributes)

They also believe very strongly in the “New Song” as described in the Psalms. When the Holy Spirit is leading the worship, there are many times that healings, deliverances and impartations take place without the laying on of hands. Rob and Jody believe strongly in the ministry of impartation whether with or without hands being laid. Many times these ministry times when the Holy Spirit imparts are like time capsules, in that you never know that anything happened until later, when something inside becomes activated in a dramatic way that results in a “Suddenly” taking place in many lives.

I believe that Rob and Jody are on the cutting edge of the “New Move of God” taking place in the earth today and their role as fire-starters is a much needed ministry in the Body of Christ in this time when Satan has blinded the eyes and deafened the ears of many in the Church today. There is a trumpet call to “Those who have ears to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to the churches” in this great hour of awakening. Come hear the call of the mighty Shofar of heaven to, “Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.” (Isaiah 60:1) NASB

Testimonies from Disciples

Are You Wearing the Right Clothing?

By | Easter 2015, Epistles for Warriors, Testimony, Uncategorized | No Comments

I was reading an article on “Jealousy” and there was a section that really caught my attention. It was about “Displacement”. It was talking about how a lot of jealousy starts in the fear of displacement! Someone is going to displace me or replace me and I will be left behind. This initiates fear and then the spirit of jealousy enters in and starts “vain imaginations” deep within. The next step is to look suspiciously at the person who is “apparently” planning on displacing us and find a way to stop this “strategy”.

This cycle of insecurity and jealousy starts to accelerate our attempts to secure our “position”. Jealousy is ‘one step’ away from murder. It is a murdering spirit! We need to take this very, very seriously! If we don’t take it seriously, we will begin a very destructive tendency towards “spiritual murder”.

As I worked through this process, I began to see that most people are “insecure”. Then I started to wonder why this is. I looked at the world and saw the pressure to conform to certain ‘acceptable’ types of people. There is so much envy, jealousy, hate, resentment, hostility, and scheming going on mostly because people are wanting to be in someone else’s shoes and live ‘their glamorous lives’ instead of their own ‘average life’. The God who made each of our fingerprints, voices and eye scans totally unique, would never desire that we would conform to someone else’s identity. This is a form of identity theft! How many times can you remember being envious of someone else for their new car, new house, new job, new wife/husband, or some other form of apparent success? Be honest! Has this been an issue in the past?

How about in the body of Christ? Have you resented someone who just got ‘attention’ for doing something and got praised for it publicly? Who in the church has a position that you desire? (Be honest). Are you attempting to work towards that goal? Are you angry that sister or brother so and so is always getting all the good stuff, and you are left on a dusty shelf and never seeming to move towards the fullness of what you believe God has called you to be? Have you been seeing yourself as a member of the worship team, children’s ministry, pastor’s assistant, greeter, etc only to be left unnoticed

every time an opening came up? Have you given up yet? Are you resigned to just being a ‘bump on a log’ and a church seat warmer?

Maybe………….you are ‘barking up the wrong tree’ and all of this is an ‘act of futility’ that will never be blessed by God? Has that ever occurred to you? Maybe you are trying to fit into someone else’s clothing? Is this God’s plan or your plan? Mmmmmmm……….is it possible that there is any truth to this? Is it possible that all these months or years, you have been ignored because God has other plans for you? Wouldn’t it be sad if, at the end of your life, you are standing before wonderful Jesus, still wondering why you were always ‘left behind’ only to hear him say, “Why did you not fulfill what I called you to do? You always set your eyes on goals I did not call you to fulfill!” This would be TRAGIC!!

Well………..what is the answer? The only place of peace as a member of God’s family is to put on the right clothes that God has designed specially for you and no one else. Isn’t it hopeful to know that there is no one else who can effectively step into your ‘God-appointed’ call? If you remain in ignorance about exactly what that is……..eventually……God will fill that place with someone who is next in line, who is the best able to fulfill that call. Jesus said if we don’t praise Him, the rocks will cry out! God’s plans will be fulfilled, with or without us. God desires to see that every one of His children fulfill His ‘whole’ plan for their lives. This is His Heart! Read Jeremiah 29:11.

Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice”. If you are His sheep, you ‘hear His voice’. So if you ask Him about your specific place in the body, will He not tell you? The Bible also says, “If you diligently seek Me, you will find Me”. Are you diligently seeking Him……..Then………it is a given…….You will find Him and hear what He has for you personally and specifically for your life. Be careful……………it may not be what you have been running after. Are you ready for that revelation?

Recently a dear brother of ours had a testimony about pastoring 3 churches and it went terribly for him. He continued to ask God why it was not working out. Many years later…..he realize….God NEVER called him to pastor. It was his own desire, not God’s! Only after he let go of his desires did God start to

fully open doors of opportunity to fulfill His call upon this brother’s life.

Another dear brother that we know saw there was an opening in his local church for a drummer on the worship team. (He did not play drums) He got it in his head to work hard to fill that position. He did work hard and achieved that position. Awesome…….it was hard……but he continued to practice continually to become a more and more capable drummer. Well……..God never called him to the drums. He called him to the Bass Guitar. Once he tried the Bass, after being unsure of attempting it, he found himself in the peace of God and experiencing the wonder and amazement of God’s call upon his life. He was experiencing peace with God’s call at last.

I hope this inspires you in some way to seek God (diligently) over these matters for your own life. If you are frustrated…..you may be trying to fulfill ‘your call’ instead of ‘God’s call’ for your life. When God’s clothing is placed upon you……you are home at last!!!!!!!!!!

We love you all dearly. Please feel free to contact us with any requests over this article. We would love to help you to fulfill His call upon your lives.

Love and Shalom

Pride Comes Before a Fall

By | Easter 2015, Epistles for Warriors, Testimony, Uncategorized | No Comments

Pride Comes Before a Fall (Proverbs 16:18)

We all know this quote from Proverbs, but I think it is never so ugly as when it comes disguised as a Spirit-Filled Minister. The respect that comes with the title often gives way to a license to control! Nowhere does it seem to be as dangerous as when we see a man or woman of God who have an incredible knowledge of the Word of God! To further add to the potential for disaster, many who are very charismatic, convincing, and able to do amazing feats with the Word of God have no accountability structure to keep them in check! Whew…this is a recipe for “Spiritual Abuse”!

What is weighing heavy on me this morning is how many times I have been fooled by these types of ministers. I keep praying that God would increase my discernment so as to make me more able to see the chinks in their armour before it becomes full blown and the destruction has left in it’s wake, sheep who have become traumatized and full of fear! After the fact, those who are close by, need to initiate damage control and bring the spiritually broken into a safe place to heal up the damaged souls! It is not a pretty sight!

It is also not a pretty sight to watch a man or woman that you know personally fall like this! But many times the spiritual pride has become so deeply inset that their ears have become dull and they do not receive counsel from anyone. Often they do not feel that anyone has become “spiritually mature” enough to speak into their lives. WOW! This phenomenon is even more tragic when the minister is young in age. (or young in the Lord)

It seems that the “Church” is still spending way too much time praising the “Gifts” or “Anointing” upon a person and not scrutinizing the “Character”! We are called to be fruit inspectors and that means that we are to be checking out that the “Character of Jesus” is being manifested in that life. What seems to happen is that we are so amazed by the gifts of God that are evident and powerful that we become reluctant to approach this person to discuss personal character issues that have surfaced of late. There is a tendency to obscure the hidden sin because the gift is so needed in the church structure! This is a formula for all manner of evil to start to take up residence in that person and in “The Church”! “A little leaven leavens the whole lump!”

A mighty man or woman of God used in church, out of church, in their homes and on the streets can become a law unto themselves! This is the mystery of lawlessness! (See www.flashfloods.com for the book “The Mystery of Lawlessness” by Scott Holtz) The ones that you least suspect because of the mighty gifts of God being manifested through their ministry can become the very ones who fall prey to this mystery.

Another thing that I have seen is the praise paid towards this individual will often work within them to stir up dormant pockets of control that have been hidden and waiting for the right opportunity to rise up and take over. Are we so hungry for the gifts of God that we overlook the potential for disaster brewing just below the surface? This is serious business! One more time: Where is the discernment? We can be sure of one thing: God is not surprised by any of this, is He? It is like He is allowing all of it to teach and instruct us to become more aware and more vigilant next time! But beware……offense and bitterness can turn that discernment into a “Critical Spirit” if we are not continually coming before the Lord to wash us in His forgiveness. We may become tainted by the experience to the point that we get a “Bunker Mentality” and are afraid to venture very far from home. How do we discern the true “Discernment of the Holy Spirit” and a “Critical Spirit” that often becomes formed by our hurts and tainted by our tongues? We have to be in communion with the Lord daily to keep us in check to avoid the “Bitter Root Judgments” that can increase the fear in our lives. Oh Lord it is hard to balance all of these things! I have seen true discernment operating and I have seen a critical spirit operating and I will tell you brothers and sisters….they are hard to tell apart! “ For judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment” James 2:13. Without the Holy Spirit filtering every thought and action….we would be unable to tell the difference.

What am I saying this morning? I guess to sum it up…. “Spiritual Pride will result in a fall every time!” The only missing part of the puzzle is “When”? Be sure that the “Aharit” of this manifestation of pride will be destruction! The only way to avoid it is to live a life that is constantly being washed by an ‘intimate continual communion with the Lord’! The Bible says

“ God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble .” 7 Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded . (James 4:6)

Let us lift the bar on Character and lower the excitement for the Gifts and Anointing before it is too late and we watch another one fall and take out the sheep with him or her! Let us avoid the destruction that is sure to fall without the accountability structure to keep in check the minor manifestations before they become full blown and unable to curtail! The end result or the Aharit is certain disaster for the unsuspecting and the weak ones! The mystery of lawlessness is at work here but we can avoid much if we are willing to confront the issues before they become full blown tirades of rebellion, stubbornness and all manner of evil being unleashed and unchecked! Hallelujah!

In all of this we need to stay humble and in prayer before the Lord, forgiving those who spitefully use us and abuse us. To top it all off, we need to be vigilant and accountable that the very same thing could happen to any one of us, and we would be the last to know! Forgive 7 times 70 times per day (That’s about every 2 minutes and 20 seconds) Let us be transparent before the Lord!

If There Were No Speed Limits

By | Easter 2015, Epistles for Warriors, Testimony, Uncategorized | No Comments

If there were no speed limits, how fast would you go? Laws are meant to keep us in check by implementing fear as a deterrent to breaking the law. There is a price to pay for breaking the law, in terms of a fine, losing our licence, or in extreme cases, we have to go to court and perhaps do jail time. All the talk of capital punishment is also being studied to determine if the re-instatement of it would reduce the crime rate. So if there were no fines, jail time or capital punishment, what would keep you from breaking the law?

Why am I going there? Of course by now you realize that there are Godly implications to these questions.

“But we know that the Law is good , if one uses it lawfully,
realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person , but for those who are lawless and rebellious , for the ungodly and sinners , for the unholy and profane , for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers
and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers , and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching …” 1 Timothy 1:8-10

So….if we do not fall into the under-lined categories….we shouldn’t even need the ‘Law’, right? We see that the Law was made for people who had trouble with obedience! I have a desire to dig to the roots of these issues to see what is really underlying the outward manifestations that periodically surface.

If there were no speed limits, how fast would you go? This opens up an interesting line of inquiry. Are you obeying God’s commandments because of fear of violating them and the repercussions thereof, or out of love for Him? When are we going to move away from the Christian “fire insurance” mentality where we are doing the bare minimum, just to ensure that we will not end up in hell. Is this even honest? I have heard people who are living a shallow Christian life say, “I’d take a bullet for Jesus….I would never deny Him”. Note: If you do not witness to your neighbours or your work mates…what makes you think you will the courage to pay the ultimate price of your life for Him? I believe this is a delusion! These folks may believe what they say, but let’s get real?

If we are not faithful in the little things….we will never be faithful in the bigger things. One time a friend told me that if God blessed him with a million dollars, he would be such a generous giver, and he would set up this fund and that fund for people in need. When I told another friend about this, he said to me, “If he is not a giver now (this friend also did not fully believe in tithing)….he will not be a giver, even if he has a million dollars. That opened up my eyes! Let’s get back to the difference of obeying out of fear of losing something and obeying as an act of love. What a huge difference! The one who obeys out of love could possibly “take a bullet for his lover”. I concede that the other one could never have the strength to withstand losing his/her very life, even though I’m sure that he or she believes that they could.

Another example: a friend posed the question that if you could do anything as a Christian and not have it held against you and still go to heaven, what would you do? There was a young man around 25 years old, who answered, “Well, I tell you what, I would no longer be a virgin.” So….his desire was to fornicate, but he was not indulging in it, because why…..? This is so sad! We really need to look at the roots of our motivations to see what evil lurks there. If we are only obeying the rules for fear of punishment….I dare say that the enemy is fashioning a trap to take us out, even as we speak. We are such an easy target when our hearts desire evil…even if we do not indulge in it outwardly. Our inner thoughts are much more important than the outer expression of them manifested through the body. Jesus raised the bar higher by telling us that if we even look upon someone to lust after them….we have already committed adultery! We no longer have to ‘do the deed’ to be guilty…..we merely have to ‘do it’ on the inside. The bar was raised to a brand new level with Jesus! How about our dreams….are we responsible for what happens while we sleep? Mmmmm…..what do you think?

Jesus said,
“But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. “For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders. “These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man.” Matt. 15:18-20

I’ve heard many times, “… out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” (Matt. 12:34) but in Matthew 15 above, we see that there is an even deeper implication to what goes on in the heart. All of these evil things originate in the heart of you and me. That’s why God is digging deeply into the heart issues in our lives, as Children of God. The “church” may not be able to teach these topics as effectively on many occasions….but forums such as this one, can often be used to bring to attention the roto-tilling procedure of the Holy Spirit, going on in many people’s lives all around the world. God is purging us to produce more fruit for His kingdom. This type of operation can hopefully reduce the number of Christians falling into immorality and sexual sin. These issues that lurk deep in our hearts eventually produce evil fruit. The only unknown is when it will happen. We see that what is brewing in the heart will eventually surface for all to see. “But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against the LORD, and be sure your sin will find you out .” Numbers 32:22

Search your heart and get real with God this morning! Are you obeying Him out of love or duty? Duty will never sustain you in times of extreme trauma and distress. Love will! Are you suffering through life obeying His ways because you know it is the right thing to do, or are you full of joy because you are pleasing your lover, who saved you from the consequences of your years of sin? Your record of sin has a sentence of death attached to it, but Jesus offered himself, to pay the price with His very blood! Are you grateful? Has it really sunk in that He stood up for you personally in a court of law and when the sentence of death was declared over your very life…(can you see Him standing before the judge and saying….”Your honour….I will pay every last cent of the debt for ______(your name)______!) Is this real to you. or just some far off concept that doesn’t have a tangible reality to you personally? Be real with Him about these things…..then there will be a renewed hope of honesty, and real change is possible and attainable in your life. Let’s get below the surface to the depths of our hearts in these things! What are our deep motivations? What kind of roots does the tree have?

“So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” Matt. 7:17-19

So the Bible says that the law was brought forth to stir up the sin in people. It says in Romans 5:20-21 AMP. “But then the Law came in [only} to expand and increase the trespass [making it more apparent and exciting opposition].” So the Law came in to reveal the trespasses and yet it caused more sin to surface as a result. Have you ever noticed that when you tell a child not to touch something, that he seems unable to concentrate on anything else, and the very act of touching that “thing” obsesses his whole attention? Can you see when you tell Adam and Eve that they can have access to everything you own, except one single tree, that they become obsessed with that very thing. The nature of man is to rebel! It is in our DNA! We are born into rebellion…we don’t need anyone to teach us! So if we obey only out of duty….I believe it will be short lived! We need to move from sacrifice to love-obedience! It’s time to get real with Jesus! Specifically…..it’s time to get to know Him personally! That’s why you were given breath: to have fellowship with the triune God! But there is a catch….you have free will….He will not coerce you or manipulate you into coming into a relationship with Him. We need to cross the bridge from the Kingdom of Darkness to the Kingdom of Light by an act of our will, by freely accepting Him as your Saviour! This is the starting point, not the end result. We are called to be co-labourers with Christ on the earth. We are not just waiting for His return so that we can “get out of here”. We are to be advancing against the ‘gates of hell’ which cannot stand against us. This Epistle brings light to some of those ‘gates of hell’ in our personal lives that need some further transparency to root out the roots of evil still remaining hidden behind the false mask of religion.

Do you want to take the chance that in that day when you are called up before Him, that He will say “And then I will say to them openly (publicly) I never knew you: depart from Me, you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands]. Jesus said, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments” John 14:15. Notice Jesus did not say……”If you keep My commandments, I will love you”. I see a lot of people living out their Christian lives from this perverted perspective! It is so sad because there is so much more in being in communion with Him out of love, than striving to obey and hating every minute of it! What if, when your wife or husband asked you if you love them…..you begin by gritting your teeth….then you pull out your best controlled voice and say……”I love you” all the while playing the martyr who is suffering under such a heavy weight. How would that make your spouse feel? Think of this: How does it make Jesus feel? He is a million times more sensitive than your spouse!

Have we entered into a true love relationship, where we will do whatever it takes to please our lover? Or are we still playing the game and saying, “It is a hard life being a Christian and I am barely hanging on until Jesus returns” This kind of existence is not what He had in mind for us! …”for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord” Eph. 5:8-9

It contradicts the promises of God found throughout the Bible! He never intended this kind of life for us, but a life more abundant! Hang on: I am not talking about the whole ‘God wants me to be filthy rich’ thing either! The greatest prosperity that we can have is ‘Jesus’ peace’ and love and joy and patience and gentleness and self control! This is the true ‘prosperity Gospel’! No amount of money can fill the void inside of mankind, but He is the only One who can be everything you will ever need in every circumstance, supernaturally! What would you trade for that? “Obedience is better than sacrifice” (1 Samuel 15:22)

The Gospel of Greed

By | Easter 2015, Epistles for Warriors, Testimony, Uncategorized | No Comments

The Gospel of Greed

How long are we going to be deceived by this ‘gospel of greed’ that is running amuck in the Body of Christ? I read recently about a preacher that bought a $15,000.00 dog, a $38,000.00 ring for himself and he was bragging that he was moving out of his 8,000 sq. foot house into a much bigger house, that he said Solomon would be proud of. I saw another well known preacher hold up his Bible in front of the congregation and the cameras and say, “It’s about money; don’t talk to me about peace, love and joy. You can’t have peace, love or joy without money! Then he said, “I don’t need your money, I’m loaded! I flew here on my own airplane!” This seems to be the latest fashion for these deluded prosperity preachers, to have their very own airplanes. They’ll tell you that Jesus was rich and he would have had his own airplane if he lived today! WOW! Which Jesus are they talking about? It sounds like another Jesus, don’t ya think?

Paul said in 2 Corinthians 11:4-7, “You seem to believe whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach about a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed. But I don’t think I am inferior to these “super-apostles”. I may not be a trained speaker, but I know what I am talking about. I think you realize this by now, for we have proved it again and again. Did I do wrong when I humbled myself and honoured you by preaching God’s Good News to you without expecting anything in return?” New Living Translation (NLT)

This does not seem to line up with what we see in the pulpits today. C’mon folks, we need to wake up and get our “discerners” going here! It’s time to stop being fleeced by these “professional fund-raisers”! The preacher above said to the people, “I don’t need your money!” That’s because the sheep have financed his latest spending spree and now he is “loaded” (as he put it). When will this doctrine of demons come to an end? When will the sheep wake up and call these charlatans to accountability!

My wife and I have been faithful tithers since coming to know the Lord as our personal Saviour. We take joy in this! We are not going to be robbing God of what is rightly His. It says in Malachi 3:8, “Should people cheat God? Yet you cheated me! “But you ask, ‘What do you mean? When did we ever cheat You? You cheated me of the tithes and offerings due to me. You are under a curse, for your whole nation has been cheating me. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple.” We strongly believe in tithes and offerings. Oh yeh!! I don’t want any curse on my house or on my family, do you?

As true as the above Scripture is about cheating God, many have taken this to the utmost degree of mutation and misinterpretation. So many people in the pews are so Bible illiterate, and I believe this is the reason that there is so much deception going on today. I watched an ‘Anthony Robbins’ seminar advertisement the other day, and I could not believe how close it looked to the latest crusade from a variety of today’s popular preachers. Did they go to the same school to learn these techniques how to hype people up? It looked just the same. The people had their hands in the air and the preacher or motivational speaker was prancing around in the same way as these other “super apostles”. God told us to come out and be separate, but it looks like we have misinterpreted that Scripture also to mean, ‘use every proven technique of the world to amass huge fortunes all in the name of Jesus’. I read the other day about a couple of preachers in the US who have just filed for divorce who own a 2.3 million dollar house, another home worth $680,000, a BMW, a Mercedes, a 3.5 million dollar condo in Donald Trumps tower in New York City and to top it all off, of course, their own private airplane, along with multitudes of expensive clothing and other toys. Now they are getting divorced and they have no intention of stepping down from their individual pulpits, in repentance. What gives? People say, “Don’t judge them!” WOW, there is a gross deception on the land and in His Body! Who will blow the shofar against this abomination that is spreading and growing at an alarming rate! I can’t take it any more! How about you?

This is the epitome of covetness and yet not many people seem to care! Is it because the hearts of the people long for the same things? Is it because secretly, they want exactly the same thing as these preachers desire, and God has turned them over to a deluding influence? “God will send great deception upon them, and they will believe all these lies. They will be condemned for not believing the truth and for enjoying the evil they do.” 2 Thess. 2:11-12.NLT (For more detailed info on this delusion, please go to www.flashfloods.com  and buy the book, “The Mystery of Lawlessness” by Scott Holtz.)

There is a fog upon the Body of Christ that it looks like God has brought on! How else would there be so many people being sucked into the vortex of this deluding doctrine? Wake up! It’s time to arise and blow the shofar that the eyes of the sheep may by opened and these hucksters will come off their kingly thrones and go back to the carnivals where they belong! They can preach from a soapbox beside the ‘ferris wheel!’

Stay awake Warriors! The time is short and the man of lawlessness has been unleashed in our midst, even though he may choose to come as an “Angel of Light”! Being “Lovers of the Truth” is our only hope! Read and become familiar with the ‘Word of God’ as if your life depends on it, because it does!!

Blessings, Rob and Jody

Lovers Of The Truth

By | Easter 2015, Epistles for Warriors, Testimony, Uncategorized | No Comments

How many can say they are “Lovers of the Truth” Pilate said to Jesus as many people are saying today, “What is truth?” With our current system of relativism, we can call anything “truth”, but even though many will agree, that does not turn it into “The Truth”. There is only one “Truth” and His name is Jesus! It is not just what Jesus said that was the truth, but He is “The Truth”. Now we as Christians know that Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6. Do we really believe this?

In these last days, there are many false prophets and false teachers! We know this is true because Jesus said it is so. When something is false, it is a lie! If we love the truth, which is Jesus, and His Word, we will be diverted from these false prophets and teachers, because of our love for “The Truth”. If we love anything more than Him, then we are ripe for these lies! Our hearts are the deciding factor! This is a time for searching our hearts extensively, in order to ferret out the hidden agendas that hold on with such tenacity! God is wanting us to search our hearts for hidden pockets of stinky fleshly ideas that cling to us like life-sucking-leaches from stagnant, infested rivers. We need to get the salt out and pick these critters off of us, so that we can be free of these parasites!

Jeremiah 17:9 says, “The human heart is most deceitful and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? 10 But I know! I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.”

“…forthe LORD searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.” 1 Chron. 29:9

So even here we can see that we cannot be trusted to search our own hearts, without allowing God to supervise the search. So….we need to ask God to search our hearts so that we can really be apprised of the hidden activity going on in there. There are so many things in our lives that lead us off of the true path of Jesus. There are secret desires that we think no one knows, but God knows! When we are faithful to allow Him access to every little nook and cranny of our deepest parts, victory is imminent!!

Let’s ask Him to do some deep diving this morning so that we can get free of deception in our lives and dedicate our lives to pursuing “The Truth” without regard to “the Cost”. This is where we will pull back when we consider the things that we are not willing to give up! This is the exact thing that Jesus will put His hand on, so why not give it up quickly in order to avoid the delay of eventual surrender that is inevitable anyway! When Jesus dealt with people, He always saw the strongholds in their lives and addressed that particular area as His focus. When they were willing to give that up, everything else would follow close behind. What are the areas this morning that God has been poking you to give up to Him? He has been pressing your heart lately for the release some things, right? Give them to Him and watch the extreme quickening take place in your life! This is what you have been waiting for! Let Him nurture in you, the desire to love Him before every other thing in your life! The peace and blessings will overtake you like never before! Give God every access code, every password, every email address, every web site location and every secret location of every hidden thing in your heart! There is such a freedom and liberty awaiting you! Be “Lovers of the Truth”! Be “Lovers of Jesus”! ABOVE ALL THINGS!!

Blessings, Rob and Jody
