Narrow Is The Way

I got a new program for my computer for my birthday in January, called Quick Verse. It is incredible. I bought the “Essentials” version and it only cost $60.00. What an amazing tool. Anyway…as Jody and I were using it on our first day, it was very interesting what we stumbled upon. One of the features it has is to set it up, with three windows in one and the last window is the Hebrew/Greek dictionary. So as we were looking at some familiar passages and some of the original languages we came upon the Scripture from Matthew 7, verses 13 and 14. Now this is such a familiar passage of Scripture that we have all heard and read over and over.

“Enter in the narrow gate, for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction and many are those who enter by it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it.” Matt. 7:13-14 NASB

As a Christian, I would ask you, “Are you on the narrow way?” If you were honest, you would probably consider the question and finally your answer would likely be, “Yes, I believe that I am on the narrow way” I would really ask you to consider the following Greek definitions for the word “Narrow”

G2346
θλίβω
thlibō
thlee’-bo
Akin to the base of G5147; to crowd (literally or figuratively):—afflict, narrow, throng, suffer tribulation, trouble.

DO YOU SEE IT?
Now…I am not a Greek scholar by any stretch of the imagination, but you must admit that this word which means “Tribulation, Trouble, Suffering, and Affliction” reveals something that is almost shocking. At least it was to us!

I ask you again…are you on the Narrow Way? Mmmm…did you give a different answer this time?

From these “Epistles for Warriors” I have been beating my drum about the current condition of the Body of Messiah. Most of today’s preachers are speaking about something “completely different” than the “Narrow Way”, wouldn’t you agree? Most of the popular preaching of today is directly opposite of this view, as far as I can see. I am not out to bash preachers or churches or denominations. THIS IS NOT MY INTENTION! My intention is to unravel the deception that our arch-enemy satan has spewed upon Jesus’ magnificent Bride. My intention is to shine the light of Christ into one of the greatest conspiracies the world has ever seen. The Church of Christ is under a heavy veil of deception! We need to pray that the veil will be rent and the eyes of our understanding would be enlightened in this hour! This is not a time for some lovey-dovey Winnie the Pooh message! The church is in error! How can we rejoice? It is time to wake up and become militant with the enemy! Jesus told us, “The gates of hell will not prevail against my church”

For years, I have taken the defensive approach to this verse. I felt that the enemy would not be able to prevail against me personally, and that is true. Now…I see it in a different light. I see that Jesus is saying that we are able to storm the gates of hell and they will not be able to stand! How do we storm the gates of hell. In many ways…by speaking to the unsaved about Jesus unashamedly, by praying for the sick, feeding the poor, speaking the truth, no matter what the cost, and by speaking of the deception overhanging someone’s life, even though it will be met with disbelief and sometimes even aggression.

Let me ask you a question: if your friend, who is a Christian is in error, the Holy Spirit is pressing you to talk about it, and you do not confront him with it, do you love him or yourself more? Another question: Did Jesus ask us to be “peace keepers”? Noooo He did not! He asked us to be “peace makers”! What is the difference? I believe that a peace keeper will sacrifice and compromise in order to keep the status quo, and make sure that he or she does not “rock the boat”. A peace maker on the other hand is determined to speak the truth, while reconciliation is negotiated. I believe it is time to “Rock the Boat”. Why? We know that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, so this rocking is not against people directly, but against the lies that have been propagated in our current church doctrines. These lies need to be revealed and confronted, because they are designed by an engineer of destruction who’s only desire is to kill, steal and destroy.

If there is deception upon the Body of Christ, how will it be revealed? By John the Baptists speaking in workplaces, on internet chat lines, on emails, in every place we connect with others. We need more people who will be willing to be “Voices crying in the wilderness?” Do we go to the deserts for this? NO, the church is the present “wilderness”! HELP US LORD to come out of this delusion that is swamping Your church!

I will write more later about the “Broad Way” and the “Narrow Way” It’s interesting that there are many on Broadway (New York, New York) and these are not just the unsaved in the world folks. It says that “Few there be that find the narrow way.” Are you one of the few? The other word used is “Find it” That means we need to work to dig and search and find it. It is not going to drop out of heaven into our laps folks. We have work to do!

I value your feedback! I hear there are some people who object to these emails from other people. Why do people say things behind other people’s back and not confront these issues directly. PLEASE, contact us with your questions and comments! We welcome your phone calls or emails. Let’s strike up a dialogue?

Blessings…..Rob and Jody
